What's the difference?
If you're like me, you may be a little confused on the difference between Industrial Hemp and Marijuana. Just me? I didn't think so!! Over the last eight weeks, I've learned a lot about these plants -- how they are similar, but more importantly how they are different.
Both plants are derived from the Cannabis Satvia L plant and they look similar, but that is where the similarities end. The term "hemp" most often refers to industrial hemp that can be used for industrial, commercial, and health supplement needs. It is cultivated for it's fibers, oils, and seeds. This plant only contains 0.3% - 1.5% THC and it is currently grown in several states under pilot programs with the state. "Marijuana" refers to the recreational or spiritual use of the flower of the plant. Marijuana is grown and cultivated for it's high content of THC, the psychoactive compound in the plant.
Looks can be deceiving, so make sure that you are getting a product from a source you trust!
